About Dominik
I'm 28 years old, born in Poland and living in Copenhagen for the last 10 years. I'm a software developer with over 7 years of interdisciplinary experience in business and technology.
I started my career working in business operations roles such as account manager, process manager and product owner. During this time, I delivered software projects for well-known Danish organizations such as DR Koncerthuset, Glyptoteket, Rigsarkivet and ATP Ejendomme.
Despite my successes on the operations side, I gradually realized that my true passion lies in hands-on software development. I decided to make a career switch, pursue formal software education and become a software developer.
My software development philosophy
My approach to software development is to focus on the value it brings to the stakeholders. Especially end-users. Too often software is built based on vague requirements that don't fully articulate why the software is being built. What problem does it really solve? Do the end-users want that software? Is there an existing solution and are we reinventing the wheel?
I always strive to fully understand the business problems of the organization that orders the software. What is the goal of the organization? How does the software contribute to that goal? Who is the target audience? Why build it now?
I believe this the only way to build software that truly matters and creates real value.
